Simon is a founder partner of NewDawn.
Simon is an experienced sales and account management director who has recruited, inducted, trained and led successful international sales teams at KPN/Sympac and the Vodafone Group including sales training, bid management, pre-sales support and back-office sales support teams. He has broad experience in developing direct and indirect sales and distribution channels and in business development strategies with and through national and international partners. He has also worked as a management consultant with a number of international blue chip clients delivering enhanced business performance and leadership programmes.
Before retiring as a Colonel, Simon served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Marines for 23 years in an eventful military career, serving in a variety of international operational command and staff appointments including Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands, Iraq, Bosnia, Albania, Central America and Namibia. These experiences and his work in strategic HQs and the MOD give him a unique perspective and highly effective approach in business.
Alan is a co-founder of NewDawn.
Alan’s background in employment was in Automotive, Diesel Engines and Food as a line manager/director in Purchasing and Supply Chain activities. Then he became Director of Group Procurement for a substantial multi-national company in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry with worldwide accountability for the quality of Procurement practices within each business (40+ world wide).
In this role, Alan developed with colleagues around the globe many innovative practices that delivered substantial competitive advantage in various markets as far afield as Latin America, North America, Europe, Australasia and the Asian sub continent.
Alan has since the mid 1990’s been involved at director level in a niche consultancy group specialising in the buyer/seller interface, and has developed many innovative products during this time relating to issues such as:
Mark is a partner in NewDawn.
Mark has worked in many Supply Chain line management executive roles within the FMCG and Motor Industries. He has worked up to Procurement Director prior to moving to lead Manufacturing and then Planning & Logistics across both Asia Pacific and Europe.
Mark moved into consulting, capability development and coaching in 2002. Since then, he has designed and delivered many programmes to build strategic Procurement and Supply Chain capabilities and to deliver significant results to client organisations across many business sectors. In these engagements, Mark has worked with both buying and selling teams, working specifically with sales teams to enable them to clearly understand how professional buyers think, plan and operate.
Mark has lived and worked in many parts of the world and as such has developed a significant cultural awareness and interpersonal skills which benefit client engagements. He has also worked in Interim Procurement & Supply Chain Executive roles over recent years.
